Growing Fine and Gross Motor Skills
Young toddlers and pre-k children need extensive work on their motor skills in preparation for school. The multiple activities on the Happy Hollow allows for practice on small and large motions that will be necessary once they reach school. Carl the Caterpillar’s rings are a perfect exercise for gripping and moving small objects. In contrast, the three Leaf Slides work larger muscles to crawl up and slide back down. Bertie the Bluebird requires children to combine fine motor skills by gripping a small crank with gross motor skills using the arm, elbow and more to turn him in gentle circles.

Yet other times, if there is only one child, they can entertain themselves as they learn with each of the activities.
